Introduction
CivicFlow is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information. As an Alberta-based service provider, we operate in strict compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP) and the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) where applicable.
Information We Collect
To provide efficient public services, we collect the following categories of data:
Identifiers
Name, email address, and phone number.
Location Data
GPS coordinates or addresses for service requests.
Request Details
Photos, descriptions, and timestamps of reports.
Technical Data
IP address and browser type for security monitoring.
How We Use AI
CivicFlow utilizes advanced machine learning models to improve service delivery speed. We are transparent about our AI usage:
- Categorization: AI automatically tags requests (e.g., "Roads", "Parks") to route them to the correct department.
- Deduplication: Identifying similar requests in the same area to consolidate resources.
- No Automated Decisions: AI does not approve or deny service requests. Final decisions are always made by a human municipal officer.
Data Residency & Security
Your data never leaves Canadian soil. We adhere to the highest industry standards for government-grade data protection.
Citizen Rights
Under FOIP legislation, you have the right to access personal information held about you and request corrections if the data is inaccurate or incomplete.
